Ordination Sunday (21 Feb, 2021) in Geylang
Set-free SUNDAY 21 Feb, 10am – 12pm SGT ORDINATION IS NOT CORONATION – hosted by Gerard Seow with Rev Meno Kalisher, Jerusalem Assembly, Israel and Bishop Michael Wieteska, Ultima Vocatio, Cairns Australia.
“If the whole body where an Eye, where would your sense of Hearing be?” (1 Cor 12:17)
The Oikos Fellowship is pleased to extend our Church’s highest honours to Prof Dr Thio Li-ann, Parliamentarian and NUS Professor of Law in her distinguished role in the Chair of Pauline Studies under DAVT Ordination*. The Bishop’s Charge will be delivered by Rev Dr Michael Wieteska remotely via Zoom from Cairns, Australia followed by a Purim message by Rev Meno Kalisher from Jerusalem Assembly in Israel.
ABOUT the LAVER MINISTRY: The gift of the ear, being quick to rightly divide or parse out truth from fiction, glitter from gold, fact from fiction. This is the elemental genius of the DI-DA-SKO driven by the passion to impart, inspire and imprint non-negotiable values to the nest generation through the washing of the Word, whose genius is encapsulated in the Bishop’s Charge to, “reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine” (1 Tim 4:2)
God’s credentials are based on an entirely different system of accreditation from that of the university, rooted in who you are rather than your function in church, nation or society.
Every soul is ordained for uniqueness and every community can bless God and flourish is why the leadership ministry has been established to help people outside the church appreciate those who have reached autonomy, mastery and purpose in a life well-lived.
ABOUT THE DIDASKO**: This 100-year mahogany vision seeks to shape the minds of future generations by giving a future and a hope to learners who will apply themselves and make the necessary investments of time and concentration. The child is father to the man.
*Ordination is not coronation. Just like there are no unbaptised believers, so there ought to be no un-ordained ministers. The apostle Paul made every effort to name those who had served well not for their own sake, but to ensure, that those who had thus served, received honour commensurate with their modal excellence and future impact.
**Understanding your elemental personhood: Regardless of the battles fought or the victories won, how God has made you is infinitely more important than the things you do for God or for your neighbour. Thus ordination celebrates the front end of divine favour, externally validating what the many in the City already know to be true.
Let the man or woman who serves be acknowledged by all and be recognised at the gates as we fulfil all righteousness in the dignity afforded in non-levitical, Melchizedekian ordination.
