Bro Nathan shared about emptying ours plate and let GOD put whatever He desires us to put on it…

In John 19:9b-11 9 … “Where do you come from?” Pilate asked Jesus, but Jesus gave him no answer. 10 “Do you refuse to speak to me?” Pilate said. “Don’t you realize I have power either to free you or to crucify you?” 11 Jesus answered, “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore, the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin.”

The world… in their arrogance will always say: “half my kingdom” – Herod’s example was given by Nathan. We also have Belshazzar in Daniel (1/3 of his kingdom) or Xerxes in Esther (1/2 his kingdom), even Pharoh kept the highest position as he gave Joseph literally the prime authority to govern his land … these are expressions of the power and wealth in their arrogance. In the end, however, that was never their intention.

For the longest time in the history of the Israelites… as good as they may be, you will read in 1&2 Kings or the Chronicles… even as a few of the good kings of Judah, who removed the foreign idols from the land, they always kept the high places to themselves – even fewer are willing to humble themselves fully before GOD.

Jesus our LORD, on the other hand, did not hold back but gave us everything the kingdom of heaven could offer – including His own life. In fact, He helps take away our bad things from our plates (our sins) so that He could give us more good things.

How does He do it?

In His reply to the young man concerning entering the Kingdom of GOD: (Mathew 19:21) 21 … “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

3 points to enter the Kingdom of GOD

1) Sell your Possessions.

2) Give to the poor.

3) Follow me.

Back to the question: “Whose plate are we holding?” (You know?! the plate that would not have been yours if it had not been given to you…? ..that plate?)

Anyway, whatever that plate has manifested in your life, if you wish to fill it with the Kingdom of GOD:

1) Sell you possessions. Get rid of whatever idols that possess you more than GOD. Do not keep half or one-third and the high places. Get rid of everything, every idol, especially your pride and arrogance.

2) Give to the poor. (in spirit, in health, in wisdom, in prison, etc.) serve them wholeheartedly.

3) Follow me. Be Christ-like… follow what Christ says, prays, and His ways.
