Obviously Inspired Knock-Out Service (OIKOS)
What you gain through strategic partnership with OIKOS.
From anti-vice to pro-family, the Geylang-based family OIKOS rises to the occasion by harnessing human and talent capital for the common good.
“Be sure to know the condition of your flock and pay close attention to your herds for riches are not forever nor does a crown endure to every generation.” (Proverbs 27:23)
Volunteers bring a wealth of experiences from all walks of life. We form an alternate to the street and brothel communities. We provide a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on.
1. A STRATEGIC SINGAPORE BASE worthy of continued home church support – I would foresee students of this course being computer literate, mobile and fast-track learners. The option is open to partners to add Life Impact Coaching to their list of professional bodies in the service of Christ.

Source: Antioch Hub (Rev Alex Wira) “We believe in relationship first, then partnership. We build covenant relationships with spiritual family in Singapore and around the world, with hearts to serve and honor one another in the place of mission each has been called to. We collaborate collectively, placing our personal titles on the altar to serve God’s bigger purpose in building His kingdom” https://antiochacademy.net
2. A BROADENING NETWORK of relationships with a stream of guest missionaries and leadership mentors. Given the strategic location of Singapore in the Asia-Pacific region, its stature as an up and coming center of theology, Christian history and the Arts, this network would allow for a continual stream of the best and brightest to be released in making, moulding and mobilizing for the 21st century harvest.

3. AN OVERVIEW OF CITY-WIDE CHURCH growth developments with specific field insights. In order to establish worshipping communities in a mission-sensitive environment, our students must be exposed to a variety of traditional and non-conventional models of church growth, mastering the fundamentals that are applicable in every pastoral situation where Christ is the Head.

4. GUIDANCE IN RESEARCHING and refining observations gained through in-field exposure and experience. Through exposure with senior brethren, the breadth and experience of such ministry professionals and marketplace leaders could enhance our student’s survivability in a rapidly changing church and missions landscape.

Oikos hosts La Union House (Bishop Emmanuel & Matron RomaFe), Bishop Stanley Ow from Globalmmi.net, Rev Seah MinAun & Emily from Lemuel Ministries, Rev Joyce, Corine & Helen from Miracle Manna, Rev Pauline Lim, Rev Moncy & Jinshe the speaker for the day.
5. SELF-ORGANISED LEARNING ENVIRONMENT – Supervised, continuing foundational education with hands-on approach to learning. Training packages involve overseas trips and fields assignments to test out the assumptions learned in theory. Such exposure should come early in the training rather than as a summary exercise to bring out the realism of the offices and ministry gifts of each participant.

6. ACCESS TO CARING RESIDENTIAL COMMUNITY that are voices of value and godly counsel. Underlying values of prayer, intercession and prophetic worship form the most foundational layers of how training is conducted in which students grow in an increasing sensitivity to the liberty of the Spirit’s flow as God’s people move in miracle oneness.

7. CONTINUING EDUCATION, encouragement, accountability and assistance in ministry development. Ministers-in-training are encouraged to fully engage in collaborative projects that would enhance knowledge gained, further exploit the network of peers and associates and deepen the relationship between local church and mission field.

You are wired in a certain way according to the 7 gift-modalities that have been given in creation. The circuitry is a default behaviour that follows a pattern ingrained and unique to your DNA, ie your default natural abilities. Your DNA is what makes you tick and what ticks you off.
The truth is much harder to accept. If you don’t heed the advice of your loved ones and don’t slow down, there is a very good likelihood of some kind of melt-down, whether relationally, financially or mentally.
Now you might be asking yourself, is there a way out? Is there a structured way of going back to the basics and re-learning the fundamental lessons and get the mentoring I know I need without paying an arm and a leg? We’ll I can’t presume to know your situation but I want to let you know I’ve been there. There’s no way I can begin to understand your situation but it may not be as unique as you think. And the worse thing is, Who can you share all these doubts with?

“Lots of pastors face mental depression and don’t know how to spot the symptoms. Many younger ministers have catastrophic self-esteem issues, and others are bordering on a nervous break-down.” Jonathan Endencia, Child Evangelism expert and Pastor of Wesleyan church in La Union, Philippines.
Where does your talent to see, shape with your hands, hear, speak, stand upright, fight or show kindness come from? These are not accidental gifts but deliberate, conscious and intentional acts that give shape to behaviour that in turns determines specific, calculated and positive outcomes for personal, family and for the common good. Again, the signature of an intelligent designer who has communicated his will through the incarnation of himself in the excellencies of human behaviour.

“To be most useful, our prayers must go where God wants to send them…” — Rev Gerard Seow
Where have you made a difference in the lives of others? When did you first begin to see fruit and who were the beneficiaries? Where were you useful and in what circumstances did you realise that people were being helped, shaped, or moulded? Look at the data you have collected through interviews with your parents, spouse, close friends or colleagues.
Look for clues to those times when you have been the most engrossed in an activity. If you can’t see a pattern developing, seek for clarification from a career counsellor, pastor or village therapist.

Much of the trauma that pastors face is due to the accelerated pace of the work week, the seemingly endless (self-imposed) routine of sermon preparation, the daily pressure of the herds and flocks in various states of shock of and trauma. Father of Pentecost in Burma, Bishop Ral Buai comments after over 40 years of active service in the frontlines in Asia. More information https://youtu.be/MeRO9UhReSM
Yours is a journey of self-discovery and self-reflection. Self-mastery is hard work. Keep asking of life the big questions. Life unfolds itself like petals in a flower or buds in a fruit tree. The same thing goes for your gift that often lies buried deep within. The real business of today is to unlock talent and release gifting that you may not even realise is there.

Piapi House: “I will also shut doors that are not beneficial to you that eventual lead you to harm. I will connect you to the right people, the right places, the right things, including the things you would buy and own but I will also disconnect you from people who are not going in that direction that I have chosen for you” More info: contact Rev Pat Owyang, https://gosheninternational.org
